The Thunder Mountain Longhorn Chili comes from China from a region with the so-called "Thunder Mountains", hence the name. The bright red, slender, thin-walled chillies can reach record-breaking lengths of up to 30 cm or more. They have a medium heat and are flavourful with a fruity-sweet note. The plants can grow up to 150 cm high and develop a tree-like crown with countless of extremely long red chillies. They are suitable for fresh consumption, for cooking, e.g. for omelettes or they are allowed to dry on the bush in hot summers and processed into powder.
